Shock! Divorce is on the cards for Ashlee Simpson

Ashlee Simpson and rock star husband Peter Wentz has annouced that they will file for divorce.
Ashlee Simpson and her husband have been married for almost three years and were dating at least two years before that. In Hollywood standards that's almost a life time!

Ashlee and Pete confirmed the marrige is over yesterday, with Ashlee citing irreconcilable differences.
"After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to file for divorce," they said in a joint statement. "We remain friends and deeply committed and loving parents to our son Bronx, whose happiness and well-being remains our number one priority. We ask that everyone honor our privacy as we navigate this next phase of our lives."

Ashlee Simpson is seeking joint legal but sole physical custody of Bronx, with visitation rights for Pete Wentz. She's also seeking spousal support and is asking to restore her name to Ashlee Simpson.
